WhiteSail Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 4, 2026
WhiteSail is designed to compare network experience without accounts, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Information stored on your device
WhiteSail stores the place names you choose, the current connection identity when available, and calculated responsiveness, variation, and interruption measurements so you can review and compare saved checks.
Wi-Fi name and location permission
iOS requires location permission before it can return the name of the currently connected Wi-Fi network. WhiteSail uses that name to identify the connection. It does not request or save geographic coordinates.
Connectivity requests
During a check, WhiteSail makes ordinary network requests to external connectivity providers. Those providers may process standard request metadata such as IP address under their own policies. WhiteSail does not send them an account identifier, Wi-Fi name, or location coordinates.
Tracking and advertising
WhiteSail contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs and does not require an account.
Data deletion and contact
You can manage saved places in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
