Start with text that is stable enough to reuse

Good snippets are the parts of a message that stay consistent: a greeting, return instructions, a signature, a meeting follow-up, or a prompt framework. Keep names, dates, prices, and other changing details easy to edit after pasting.

Give each snippet a recognizable title

The title is what you scan on the keyboard. Use a short label that describes the purpose—such as Return address, First reply, or Rewrite prompt—rather than copying the first words of a long paragraph.

Open the snippet keyboard inside the destination app

After enabling BlinkPaste in iOS keyboard settings, open the text field where the message belongs, switch keyboards, and tap the saved card. This avoids opening Notes, copying text, returning to the conversation, and pasting manually.

Use Summon when the library grows

A short list works well as visible cards. With dozens of snippets, use remembered initials to narrow the choices. The useful habit is to title snippets consistently so the same initials keep finding the same kind of text.

Review before sending

A snippet removes repetitive typing, not judgment. Read the pasted result, personalize changing details, and confirm that the tone and context still fit before you send it.
